As many women grow older they tend to be faced with choices regarding there health and appearance. some women may wish to take the “grow old gracefully” route and wear there age lines with pride, while many others tend to opt to fight it all the way. There’s no shame in wanting to look and feel your best – medical advances have lengthened the average life span, and in today’s economy we find people are waiting to retire and becoming more active. For somebody faced with competition in various aspects of life, cosmetic surgery becomes a serious consideration.

In the job market, an older prospect with experience and skills may feel threatened by younger candidates who promise longevity. A woman in her fifties, divorced or never married, may find challenges in maintaining a relationship. Are these reasons to have plastic surgery?

Why do People Have there Botox Injections

Botulinum toxin, better known as Botox, is a neurotoxic protein that is used not only for cosmetic purposes but as a medication to treat conditions like muscle spasms, excessive sweating and blinking, and even migraines. For cosmetic purposes, Botox is used to improve appearance around the eyes and smooth out wrinkles. Botox injections are currently the most common plastic surgery procedure performed – very likely due to its affordability and expediency. An injection is largely an outpatient procedure that requires little after care; it could be done over a lunch period.

You may consider this a touch-up to turn back the clock, boost your self-esteem andconfidence present or even a fresher face to the world. Whilst it can be argued that no one wants to look old and tired, having some cosmetic work done presents only one part of a makeover change. You may look and feel younger after Botox, but once it’s complete your personality takes control. If you feel an injection can help you achieve this, it’s advised to take the following measures:

* You should Determine the costs. Are you able to afford Botox? If it is for cosmetic purposes, you might not be able to claim it the insurance.
* Look at the possible side effects. There may be a possibility you could have a reaction to the shot, might be some alternatives? Make sure you about your own medical history.
* Find out the long-term effects. Botox is not a permanent solution. It is common for people to have many diffrent injections.
Aslo Determine how often that you think you would like Botox and budget for it.

When you have made your decision, you should consult with your plastic surgeon just to make sure you you can sort your arrangements and check anything you need.

Thinking of buying your Dad aftershave or cologne for a Father’s day gift on Sunday?

Well before you reach for the Old Spice or Calvin Klein, its worth knowing that Men’s products often contain chemicals linked with health problems.

Personal care products are not regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other government agency. It is actually legal for many men’s cosmetics to contain chemicals with health risks, which have never been tested for safety, and chemicals not to be mentioned on product labels.

The everyday products that your Father may be using could contain ingredients linked to cancer and hormone disruption.

Here at The Organic Salon we believe in providing completely natural and organic products free of any chemicals. Click here to see our natural Men’s beauty products for a perfect Fathers day gift.

Recent research suggests that women are ingesting a shocking amount of chemicals each year just from their beauty routines.

As a result the demand for natural and organic products has increased greatly in the last couple of years. So it is important consumers know that what they are investing in and putting on to their skin is organic or natural.

Authors of The Green Beauty Bible say: ‘The important thing is to look for a certification symbol such as the Soil Association symbol, or the Ecocert symbol.’

They continue: ‘These guarantee that the ingredients are sustainably produced, without pesticides, herbicides or fungicides, and with minimum environmental impact.’

Here at theorganicsalon.com we only retail completely organic and natural beauty products.

I expect you don’t because I never use to.

The fancy lotions and potions on tv promise to clear up your skin and produce amazing results but what’s really in the face creams and scrubs you use.

As the cosmetics industry is pretty much unregulated, companies are able to put in all sorts of nasty chemicals without us knowing it.

The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics has discovered that the product St. Ives Gentle Apricot Scrub contains a chemical linked to cancer.

And Clearasil Gentle Cleansing Wipes have a chemical in them that shouldn’t even be used on damaged skin, and if you’ve ever used Clearasil you’ll know it’s a very harsh product anyway.

So why are we being subjected to these harmful personal care products?

Well the answer is you don’t have to be. If you choose to go organic and natural then you can be assured you won’t find any of these nasties.

But do make sure that the cosmetics you use are natural because some brands can be misleading.

Here at theorganicsalon.com we only provide purely organic and natural beauty products, because we believe in putting only good things in to your bodies, no rubbish.

God's PharmacyI received this article in my inbox today and found it quite amusing as well as being strangely accurate, so I thought I’d share it with you all:

God’s Pharmacy – The idea that God left us clues about what fruit and veg help which part of the body:

A sliced Carrot – It looks like a human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes. In other words they help you see in the dark!

Tomatoes – They have four chambers and are red just like the heart. All research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes – They hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood food.

Walnuts – They look like a little brain. And as we now know walnuts help develop more than three dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Celery – It looks just like bones, and this food specifically targets bone strength.

Avocadoes – Target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers.

Figs – They’re full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

Sweet Potatoes – It looks like the pancreas and actually balances the glycemic index of diabetics.

Olives – Assist the health and function of the ovaries.

Onions – look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes.

Weird huh!!

And of course all this fruit and veg is best when it’s Organic!

Pregnant women have been warned to stop using perfumes or scented body creams, after research has shown the products may cause unborn boys to suffer infertility or cancer later in life.

Quite a statement right!

Well the research carried out by Richard Sharpe found that the reproductive system of male foetuses can be harmed as early as at eight weeks, due to chemicals found in many cosmetic brands.

Mr Sharpe said: ‘Women could stop using body creams and perfumes. Although we do not have conclusive evidence that they do harm, there are components about which there are question marks; for example it could be certain combinations of chemicals. If you are thinking about how a baby might be exposed, that’s one way, and it’s something positive you can do. It might have no consequence, but it’s something positive women can do for their baby.’

But campaigners are urging women not to panic over the suggestion of using perfume and scented products until further studies are carried out.

Theorganicsalon.com only retails personal care products that are completely natural and free from harmful chemicals, so you can use them without worrying!
